In the capable hands of designer Leticia Scheinkman, this modern kitchen is the centerpiece of a newly-built large countryside residence. Featuring 5110 Alpine Mist countertops, the kitchen blends industrial coolness with wooden warmth while shining ample light on a poised aesthetic.

A family residing in Kibbutz Mishmarot built their new home from scratch. To make sure that the home’s interior matches their aesthetic vision, the family decided to collaborate with designer Leticia Scheinkman from ‘By Leticia’ Studio.

The house’s kitchen was of great importance to the family, who did not want to settle for an average design dominated by white colors. Large and with ample room, the kitchen is adjacent to the living room and therefore had to be devoid of clutter.

Together with the family, Scheinkman decided on a beautiful shade of green for the kitchen’s central cabinet space, which correlates with the view of the lush countryside reflected from the large windows. The green cabinets were balanced with warm natural wood, which was chosen for the kitchen’s unique coffee bar area and lower drawers. Additional warmth was added by infusing wooded lighting spots on the ceiling, in numerous strategic locations.
Scheinkman incorporated additional elements to complete the kitchen’s industrial modern look. These included a visible metal ventilation shaft, a raw concrete pillar and grey tiles with a concrete aesthetic.

After balancing the kitchen’s greys and greens with a warm wood ambiance, Scheinkman turned her attention to the kitchen’s countertops. The family was adamant in its refusal to incorporate white shades, and therefore Scheinkman explored Caesarstone’s vast color catalog to find the perfect solution. The goal was to find a bright non-white color with high light reflection qualities.

After careful deliberation, Scheinkman chose 5110 Alpine Mist for the kitchen’s two countertops. With its light grey color and white veins, Alpine Mist introduced additional warmth and offered a gentle contradiction to the wooded elements and darker tiling. The island countertop is particularly impressive, as it is enhanced by modern lighting fixtures that hang directly above, which were custom made by lighting designer Haim Evgi.

In addition to the kitchen, Scheinkman also incorporated a Caesarstone surface in the guest bathroom. After selecting a grey stone acrylic sink and unique green tiles, Scheinkman decided that 3040 Cement – a rich grey quartz surface with prominent aesthetic and durability qualities – would be the perfect complementary piece for a truly memorable bathroom.
